Welcome to Metals & Jewelry!
Step into the world of metalworking with this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. You’ll learn key safety practices while exploring the fundamentals of using a rolling mill, speciality hammers, drill press, jewelry saw and flex shaft rotary tool. Students will work with base metals—using textured plates—to create cold connection riveted jewelry that’s entirely your own.

Learning Outcome: By the end of this workshop, students will be able to safely use basic metal smithing tools and techniques—including a hydraulic press, rotary tool, and impression dies—to design and create a simple metals project while demonstrating foundational craftsmanship, creative problem-solving, and an understanding of safe studio practices that help prevent injury, protect equipment, and support confident, independent making.
