Metal tray in various stages of completion

Welcome to Metals & Jewelry!
Step into the world of metalworking with this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. You’ll learn key safety practices while exploring the fundamentals of using a hydraulic press and flex shaft rotary tool. Students will work with base metals—using pancake and silhouette dies—to create a unique emboss metal tray that’s entirely your own.

Learning Outcome: By the end of this workshop, students will be able to safely use basic metal smithing tools and techniques—including a hydraulic press, rotary tool, and impression dies—to design and create a simple metals project while demonstrating foundational craftsmanship, creative problem-solving, and an understanding of safe studio practices that help prevent injury, protect equipment, and support confident, independent making.
