Work with a librarian to arrange a library orientation for a cohort of students, faculty, or staff, either for a general introduction or to focus on specific, disciplinary resources. We offer tours and orientations throughout the year. Arrange a tour or orientation for the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, Holman Biotech Commons, Fisher Fine Arts Library, or any of our 19 libraries and spaces. Orientations will introduce students and staff to the range of services, collections, and specialists available to the Penn community, and can be customized to your specific needs.
To set up a tour focused on a specific academic subject, start by booking a consultation with a subject librarian in your discipline. Interested in a basic tour or not sure whom to contact? Chat with us online, or request a consultation to be matched with a specialist.
For the Monthly Manuscript Pop-Up on November 19, we'll look at documents relating to witchcraft and magic, broadly defined. Hope to see you there!
Some text work as bound books, but some do better as rolls or scrolls (what's the difference? Come and find out!). For the Monthly Manuscript Pop-Up on December 3, we'll look at a variety of rolls and scrolls from across time and around the world. See you there as we celebrate the end of the semester in the best way. With manuscripts!
