Jesús Velasco
Jesús Velasco is the Augustus R. Street Professor of Spanish and Portuguese at Yale University. His research focuses on law and humanities in the Medieval Mediterranean basin. His latest books include Dead Voice: Law, Philosophy, and Fiction in the Iberian Middle Ages (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2020), and Microliteratures: The Production of the Margins in Medieval and Early Modern Iberian Books (Cornell University Press, 2025). He is currently preparing a book-length monograph tentatively titled Law and Humanities: The Question of Fiction from a Medieval Iberian Perspective.
