Shreya Patel (2026–2027)
As the inaugural Graduate Student Curatorial Fellow, Shreya Patel will focus her attention on engaging the public with manuscripts, especially from areas of the broader Penn community that may not typically work with archives or historical material. With a BA in Chemistry from Swarthmore College and drawing on previous experience as the Hermon Dunlap Smith Center for the History of Cartography Intern at the Newberry Library, Shreya is particularly interested in the connections between art and science and will work with curators to develop engagement opportunities, including pop-up exhibitions, classroom instruction, and social media promotion, in addition to gaining experience in the care and management of manuscript collections. Shreya is currently pursuing an MA in the History of Art.
