Kaylin Blount supports the work of all IPC departments. She focuses particularly on batch workflows for metadata using a variety of technologies, including MarcEdit, OpenRefine, and Alma batch tools. She also works on catalog maintenance projects, linked data, and metadata for digital collections.

She has experience as a Carolina Academic Library Associate at UNC Libraries, working in metadata and repositories. She also worked as a Special Collections Cataloging Graduate Assistant & Intern, also at UNC, doing cataloging in non-English languages. Her non-library experience includes work as a Freelance Proofreader and Copy Editor, and teaching English in China as a Princeton in Asia Teaching Fellow.  

Kaylin holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Princeton University and a Master of Science in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
